Description
Torako Fuu is a dark brown haired Hazel eyed woman of mixed Japanese/Philippine decent, standing 5'3" with a shapely figure. She carries herself well, walking with her head up and shoulders back, confident of herself. She dresses in fashionable clothing often in outfits of her own design that catch the eye. (Pres 2, SL2)
Character Background
Torako Fuu, age 22 is the daughter of a Filipino Actress/model in japan and her Japanese husband, a general practice doctor in the Komae district of Tokyo. She has grown up as a fairly normals if slightly over privileged child in the bay area of the city. Her mother's Diva attitude often rubbed off on her daughter and with her mixed heritage in previous schools she always been treated with a little contempt from her classmates. Motivated by her pride she soon began to manipulate the social attitudes of those around her, Using force of personality and out right devious manipulation to overcome her social obstacles.
For a some time this behavior grew and took more of her psychology until she began to think in terms of picking apart people's motives and minds learning how to misdirect and course others into doing just what she said. The talent before long manifested in her on a more supernatural level.
Within the last few years Torako's behavior reached a point that her catholic mother could no longer stand seeing in her own daughter and arranged to have the girl placed in a local catholic school where her mixed race would not be such a social stigma and perhaps straighten her out.
On a more personal side Torako uses her Surname "Fuu" to introduce herself and in conversation. She owns a newly adopted tiger stripe kitten and her room and wardrobe mimic a modern well to do life style, In essence somewhat spoiled.
Moving to the US
After graduating ISSH Torako applied to the Osaka Designers' College for her higher education. The move across the country kept her relationships with her friends in Tokyo at a distance, visiting friends and family during vacations and time off from school. During her time there Fuu studied as a make-up artist and clothing design. Showing some talent in these fields she soon graduated and began looking for job offers.
Life had seemed to become tragically normal for the young woman. As friends grew up and moved on with their lives Torako tried to remain in contact with as many of her old friends as possible. After struggling with the Japanese job market Fuu chose to expand her choices to overseas firms eventually landing a job offer in NYC. It was a tough move to make for her but the offer was too inviting, a chance to travel abroad and the risk and excitement of being out on her own helped push her decision to make the move and have another adventure.
Torako Has been living in New York now for a few months. Living in a rent controlled apartment in little tokyo. She had managed to talk herself into for a livable wage, still not above using her talent's to get her way though. Fuu has become more restrained in their use, practicing subtlety rather that directly forcing her will on people.
