Experience

Experience is self awarded. You can decide how much experience your character deserves within certain limits. You will award between 1 and 6 points a week. Requests are taken on Sunday. In order to gain this experience you note your XP ST (listed below) with a note to the effect of: I would like 2xp for the week for a total of 10xp overall for my character.

The command for notes is: /msg Canaille notes your password to nick and then type in the text you want to note them with.

Experience is broken down by type of character.

Please note the nick listed below, they are permanent nicks that unlike our character names will never change.

(Amokk) - All Supernaturals: Vampires, Werewolves and Mages.

(Luca) - All mortal based characters: psychics, wolf-blooded, ghouls, skinchangers, etc.
Note: Luca only accepts xp between Sunday and Tuesday, xp later than that will not be accepted.

How much XP should I take?

Now let's talk about what constitutes playing that day for enough rp to take a point of XP. We assume if you are taking experience for a day of rp that you role played that day for at the absolute bare minimum of 1 hour, actively roleplaying with other people in an attempty to further your goals. Experience is also only granted per day you rp, which means spending 6 hours in one scene on Monday may be great for furthering your goals, but it still only counts as one day of role play and is probably not worth more than 1xp. If you did something amazing during one scene and feel it does deserve and xp bonus because of it, feel free to come to #help and ask. If we agree we will grant you the bonus. Please do not individually message your xp ST and ask them. They will redirect you to #help.

*Please note, if you are unsure of how much xp to take, round down. If you ask for more xp than you deserve, you will not be granted xp that week.

Long term Character Bonuses

We like to see people who have put the serious amount of effort into not only roleplaying a character actively long term and avoided needless combat but also who have left a serious impact on the game by playing a character for six months to a year or longer. Because of this we give long term character bounses. Meaning when you have actively rped your character for six months, we will grant you 10 bonus xp. After you have role played your character for a year we will grant you 15 bonus xp and so on with every 6 or 12 month interval. If you need help with understanding what we qualify as active, come to #help and talk to us.

Other Bonus experience

From time to time we will also grant other bonus experience. It is a rare thing, but it does happen. This bonus experience is either because of a holiday season or because of an exceptional scene you have taken part in or may be linked to attending a planned scene we have set up.

Experience Spends

Experience is basically spent the way it is written in the books with a few minor additions. If you have any questions on spends, please come to #help. If there is no cost listed for something in the book, it does not mean it is free, please see your XP ST about a proper cost.

*Please note xp spends are only made on Sunday, they must be in the form of a note. Please do not come to #help and ask for a spend.

To spend XP, you note your XP ST with something along these lines:
/msg Canaille notes password to Storyteller I would like to spend 5xp on buying the first dot of Auspex.
