Character Background
All characters are required to write a short background regardless of age. The minimum requirement for characters under thirty is one paragraph. Characters over Thirty must write at least three paragraphs. More information on how to write your character background can be found here: Character Background Page
Starting Experience All Mortal based characters start out with an additional 25 experience points. You can divide that xp up any way you like with a few exceptions. * No more than half starting xp can go into disciplines * Brawl, firearms and weaponry are capped at 3 dots at creation. * Attributes are capped at 4 at creation.
Ghoul Creation You may choose either creation choice for making ghouls. The Requiem book adds one discipline dot (of your regnants choice) to the character template with no other changes. The Ghoul book creation adds one physical discipline dot, one dot of your regnants choice and lowers your morality to six. If your regnant is a player character you will not be required to take Regnant merit. If your regnant is not a player character you must take this merit.
School Related Characters Students will be ranked by grade level and age for their creation experience. The list below is broken down for the normal age ranges. If you fall into a different range because of skipping grades or failing grades, then talk to us first before spending your creation xp.
Skinchangers Creation rules for skinchangers are per the book, with normal, mortal xp listed above (varies by mortal type between 0-25). Very few things will be restricted or banned with Skinchangers, but a few things have been edited/changed slightly, those are listed on the wiki, here. Restricted: Pack Banned: Tell
Second Sight Creation for Second Sight is per the book, with the normal mortal xp listed above. Psychics are not limited to initial merit dots for psychic powers, and they may be purchased normally with experience points. However, after creation, going from a normal mortal to a psychic is restricted and requires heavy ST approval. Characters who are already psychic may increase their powers by buying more psychic powers with experience points. Note for creation and beyond: we use a House Rule where you add the dots of the psychic power to the dice roll to activate that power. If there is a question about how this works on a specific power, please ask an ST in #help. The "Sheep/Goat Effect" is not used unless an ST decides to use it for a particular scene.
Restricted: Mind Breaker, Anti-Psi. Banned: Precognition, Pyrokinesis, Mental Blast. Any "uncontrolled" power option.
Thaumaturges are not allowed as of January 2010.
