Immortals Creation Rules

Immortal characters are unrestricted. Purified are restricted as of February 2011. Lesser Immortals and the various "oddities" are not allowed.

 

Starting Experience

All Immortals characters start out with an additional 35 experience points. You can divide that xp up any way you like with a few exceptions.

 

Character Age

You may write characters of any age (above 18) that you like with the following exceptions:
* characters over 100 are restricted.

 

Character Background

All characters are required to write a short background regardless of age. The minimum requirement for characters is one paragraph for life before becoming Immortal, a paragraph with details about their immortality (why and how), and a paragraph about their life after becoming immortal. However, if the character has been immortal for more than 50 years, an extra paragraph per decade is required.

Alternate Identities

Characters using a different identity than the one they were given at birth, or having forged papers for US residency, must take dots in the Alternate Identity merit. The Purified do not get this merit for free, contrary to the book text. For more infromation on the merit and how it is used at Original Sin, please see the wiki page on Alternate Identity.

 

Bans and Restrictions

Very few things are going to be banned or restricted, but several aspects of the game have been edited slightly to work better in general or with this setting. You can see a complete list of those changes here.

*Body Thieves: Mentally Talented are restricted
*Purified: Spirit Numina not listed on page 110; All Familiar merits are restricted.
