Changing Breeds Creation Rules Allowed Animal Types All animal types are allowed, with one exception. Animals who are not reasonably native to the US (including mythological types) are considered restricted. This is not a big restriction. It only requires you to write a good background that includes good reason for the character to have come to the city.
Starting Experience All Changing Breeds characters start out with an additional 35 experience points. You can divide that xp up any way you like with a few exceptions. Character Age You may write characters of any age (above 18) that you like with one exception. You must write an acceptable background based on your character's age. Character Background All characters are required to write a short background regardless of age. The minimum requirement for characters is one paragraph for life before The Storm (first change), a paragraph about The Storm, and one paragraph per decade since that time detailing what they've been doing and why they're in Tokyo if not native. The information about The Storm needs to be appropriate for their breed type and accord. For example, while it is possible for a Root-Weaver WInd-Runner to have a violent, combat oriented Storm, it's unlikely for that breed and Accord. For more information on character backgrounds, please read the: ( Character Background Page )
Bans and Restrictions Very few things are going to be banned or restricted, but several aspects of the game have been edited slightly to work better in general or with this setting. You can see a complete list of those changes here. Restricted: - Banned: Foretelling, Tell, Tar Baby.
Beast Kin We do allow Beast Kin characters. Any mortal can take this merit, but remember it is a creation-only, mortal-only merit. it is also variable (2-4 point) merit with different benefits based on the level you take. This merit is different from the book. It works exactly as the (2-4 point) version of the Wolf-Blooded merit works from Werewolf the Forsaken. | |||||
